Natalie Bliss

Dr. Natalie Bliss received her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in 2017 and completed her psychiatry residency at LSU in 2021. She is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She worked for the past two years at Ochsner Baptist hospital. She has experience teaching psychiatry residents. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. She also wrote a monthly article on medical topics for Essex Fells magazine for six years.

Dr. Bliss enjoys helping individuals and families who are struggling to find balance in their home, work, or school life. She helps patients with trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, obsessive thoughts and compulsions, self-harm behaviors, cognitive dysfunction, and interpersonal issues. She has experience in helping women during pregnancy and the postpartum period. While she provides brief therapy during sessions, her primary focus is in diagnosis and medication management. She is trained in general psychiatry giving her the flexibility to diagnose patients with psychiatric disorders and give medication options. Her treatment plan considers the psychological, physical, and spiritual well-being of her patients. Her ultimate goal for each patient is to give him or her the tools for a purpose-driven and meaningful life.

Jennifer is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 15 years of nursing experience in various settings ranging from medical-surgical nursing to psychiatric care. She received a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management from Western Governors University Seattle in 2016. She went on to receive a Post-Master’s Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Herzing University in 2023. While attending Herzing University, she worked in both residential and inpatient psychiatric care facilities serving patients across the lifespan. Clients can expect mental health services that are comprehensive and compassionate with a provider who has a natural ability to build rapport with patients and families. She provides psychiatric evaluations, establishes treatment goals, diagnosis and treatment education, as well as medication management. Jennifer has a special interest in adolescent psychiatry and is accepting new patients. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
Stephanie Eberts

Stephanie Eberts is a counselor at Genesis Behavioral Health Services. Prior to joining our staff, she was an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice at Louisiana State University (LSU) in the Counselor Education Program. She earned her doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from Georgia State University and her master's degree from Loyola University, New Orleans.
She has worked in group homes, K-12 Education, higher education, and private practice. She has held leadership positions in national professional organizations and is a regular presenter at the regional, national, and international level. She presents on topics related to school counseling, group work, play therapy, and crisis and trauma. She has published multiple book chapters and journal articles. After years of working in higher education, she is delighted to return to the clinical setting.

Jessica Escoto is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a graduate of Tulane University. I specialize in all stages of pregnancy ranging from before, during, loss and grief, anxiety, depression, OCD, marital conflict, loss of identity, distress and parental burnout. I offer a warm, comfortable, and judgment free environment where you can comfortably discuss the challenges of motherhood and receive evidence based techniques to alleviate symptoms. As a mother myself, I understand the challenge of making time for yourself and balancing childcare while doing so. For that reason, I always welcome babies into sessions and support you in feeding and caring for babies throughout sessions. I am also certified to offer convenient online sessions.

Thomas Cowan

Tom Cowan is a counselor with a background in experiential education and a wide range of experience working with adolescents and adults in a variety of therapeutic settings. Tom currently practices individual talk therapy at Genesis Behavioral Health, as well as group therapy and other social services at River Oaks Hospital. Tom’s current work primarily focuses on dealing with addiction, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. Tom’s approach to therapy is down to earth and rational, yet open to all forms of self expression, including humor and anger. Tom’s inquisitive and non-judgmental approach is ideal for exploration and self reflection. Clients can also expect support developing concrete strategies for coping, acceptance, and achievement of goals. Tom’s approaches are flexible in response to each client, though closely aligned with evidence-based theories including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

I kickstarted my journey with a solid foundation, earning my high school diploma from Crescent City Christian School in Metairie, LA. From there, I pursued higher education, obtaining an Associate's Degree in General Studies from Delgado Community College in New Orleans, LA.

Driven by a desire to make a tangible difference in people's lives, I then honed my skills through specialized training, earning a certificate in medical assisting from Eastern College, also located in New Orleans.
