Kattie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over ten years of experience providing therapeutic services. She received her Bachelor’s from Southeastern Louisiana University and her Master’s from Louisiana State University.
Kattie’s work experience includes school-based social work, inpatient and outpatient mental health, and medical social work. She specializes in a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, Schizophrenia, Bipolar, substance abuse, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, grief/loss, OCD and ADHD. She practices from the belief that there is not one therapeutic approach that works for everyone, and it is important to draw from a multitude of treatment modalities to meet each person’s unique needs.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Strengths Perspective, and Solution-Focused are common approaches used in her daily work. Kattie is passionate about empowering others, fostering open communication, and building and strengthening positive relationships. Kattie believes hope, healing, and happiness are possible when individuals are given a safe space to be heard, validated, and allowed to process their unique life experiences.
